Proofing that knows what they paid for.

Clients choose their photos against the package they booked, see a running count, leave notes on any frame and submit. You get filenames ready for Lightroom and extras ready to invoice.

In every plan. Selection limits can come straight from the booked package.

How proofing works

  1. Turn on selection mode

Add a rule such as "Album: choose 40", with a minimum, an included count, a price per extra photo and a deadline. One gallery can carry several rules.

  2. Or let the package decide

Give a product a gallery selection setting. When that package is on the booked invoice, the gallery rule fills itself in, and follows upgrades.

  3. Clients choose and submit

They heart photos into the rule’s list, add notes, and submit. Lists can lock after submit so the order you edit is the order they sent.

  4. You export and bill

Copy filenames for Lightroom Classic, Capture One or Photo Mechanic, download a CSV with notes, turn notes into tasks and extras into a draft invoice.

Favorites and named lists, for everyone who opens the gallery.

Outside selection mode, every visitor can keep their own favorites and as many named lists as they like: Favorites, Album picks, For grandma. Each list is saved under the visitor who made it, so a couple and their parents never overwrite each other.

If you use workflow automation, a submitted list can start one: a thank-you email, a task for your editor, a tag on the client. Everything shows up on the gallery in Semuko, linked to the client and the event, not in a separate inbox.

Each list shows up on the gallery in Semuko under the visitor who made it, linked to the client record.

From their picks to your catalog in one paste.

Each submission is saved as a snapshot: counts, pricing and notes at the moment they pressed submit. From there you copy a filename string made for your editing app. Lightroom Classic gets a comma-separated list without extensions; Capture One and Photo Mechanic get space-separated names. Duplicates are dropped and the client's order is kept.

Prefer to send selections straight into an album? Selections can feed an album proof directly. See album proofing.

Extras that invoice themselves, politely.

When a client picks more than their package includes, the summary shows exactly how many extras and what they cost before they submit. Nothing is charged automatically. You review the submission and create the draft invoice for the extras in one click, using the same invoices, payment providers and receipts as the rest of Semuko.

  • Minimums stop a submission that is too short.
  • A deadline sets a date, or a number of days after you publish when it comes from the package.
  • Reopen or unlock a list when they want one more change.

Questions studios ask

Do clients need an account to choose photos?

No. They open the gallery link, enter their email if the gallery asks for it, and choose. The email is how Semuko keeps each person’s lists separate.

Can the selection limit come from the package they booked?

Yes. Give the product a gallery selection setting (included photos, price per extra, optional minimum and deadline). When it is on the booked invoice, the gallery follows it. A rule you edited by hand is never overwritten; Semuko asks before applying package changes.

Which editing apps can I export selections to?

Lightroom Classic (comma separated), Capture One and Photo Mechanic (space separated), or one filename per line with extensions. There is also a CSV with notes. On Studio Pro and Agency Unlimited, which include API access, the Lightroom Classic plugin also brings client favorites and comments back into your catalog.

Are extras charged automatically?

No. Clients see the count and the price of extras before submitting. You create the draft invoice for extras from the submission when you are ready.

Can I reopen a submitted list?

Yes. Unlock or reopen the list and the client can change it and submit again. Each submission is kept as its own snapshot.
