Multi-service event companies

One CRM for the event company that does more than one thing

DJ, photo booth, uplighting and video, sometimes all at the same wedding. Most booking tools are built for one of those. Semuko keeps one client, one contract and one payment plan, with every service, crew member and piece of gear checked against the same events.

The DJ who added a booth, the booth company that added uplighting, the video team that now sells a photo booth: this page is for you.

Setup

Start as more than one trade

Signup asks for your main trade, then asks whether you offer anything else. Each extra service you pick adds its own product types and sample services and packages, ready to edit.

  1. Pick your main trade

For example DJs and entertainment. Lead, event and project types come from this trade.
  2. Add the other services you sell

Photo booths, video, photography and more. Semuko seeds product types and starter packages for each one.
  3. Add gear and kits

Speakers, uplights, booths, printers, cameras and backdrops as equipment and kits, so availability is checked for every booking.
  4. Add your crew

DJs, attendants, shooters and techs with staff scheduling, assigned to the same events.

How it works

Selling and running several services at once

  • Packages that mix services

One proposal can carry DJ hours, a booth, uplighting with a color choice and a video add-on. The client signs once and pays on one payment plan.
  • One calendar for crew and gear

Every service books into the same events calendar. Staff are assigned to those events and gear availability is checked against them, so a busy Saturday shows who and what is already out, across every service.
  • Gear conflicts before they happen

Kits expand into their pieces. A speaker, booth or printer that is already booked, or marked in maintenance, shows as a conflict. Add buffers for load-in and load-out, and optionally check drive time between back-to-back jobs.
  • Travel fees by zone or distance

Draw zones on a map, use distance bands, or charge per mile or kilometer. The fee comes from the venue address and lands on the proposal.
  • Packing lists per event

Each event gets a packing list from its packages, kits and extras. Crews tick off the load-out, then a return check-in that flags anything missing or damaged. Print it as a PDF.
  • One client, every event

A couple who books a DJ for the wedding and a booth for the rehearsal stays one client with both events underneath. Shared event timelines keep the planner and venue in step.

Replaces your stack

One plan instead of an example multi-service event company stack.

These are tools a multi-service event company often pays for separately. Your own stack will differ, and some of these tools do things Semuko does not. Each row says where keeping the dedicated tool makes sense.

  • CRM and lead pipeline

    Pipedrive Lite

    $14/mo per seat, billed yearly

    $14/mo

    In Semuko: Clients and leads

    When to keep Pipedrive

A sales CRM is built around reps and deal stages. If you run an outbound sales team, it can go further than a studio CRM.

  • Scheduling links

    Calendly Standard

$10/mo per seat, lowest listed price

    $10/mo

    In Semuko: Booking and scheduling

    When to keep Calendly

Calendly has a free plan. If one booking link is all you need, the free plan may be enough.

  • E-signatures

    Dropbox Sign Essentials

$10.05/mo billed yearly ($15 billed monthly)

    $10.05/mo

    In Semuko: Contracts and proposals

    When to keep Dropbox Sign

If you sign a lot of documents that are not about a client (leases, vendor or HR paperwork), a general e-sign tool covers those.

  • Invoicing

    FreshBooks LitePartly replaced

$23/mo regular monthly price, 5 billable clients

    $23/mo

In Semuko: Invoices and payment plans

    When to keep FreshBooks

Semuko invoices and collects payments. It is not accounting software, so most studios still keep bookkeeping for expenses and taxes.

  • Forms and questionnaires

    Typeform Basic

$25/mo lowest listed price, billed yearly

    $25/mo

    In Semuko: Questionnaires

    When to keep Typeform

Typeform is a design-first builder for public surveys and quizzes. Semuko questionnaires live on the client and the event.

  • Email automation

    Flodesk LitePartly replaced

$19/mo billed yearly, 1 workflow, up to 1,000 subscribers

    $19/mo

In Semuko: Workflows and client email

    When to keep Flodesk

Semuko sends client email and workflow sequences. It is not a newsletter platform for a large marketing list. Keep one for that, or connect Omnisend.

  • Crew scheduling

    When I Work Essentials

$2.50/mo per user, priced here for 4 staff

    $10/mo for 4 users

    In Semuko: Staff scheduling

When to keep When I Work

Shift scheduling for a large hourly crew outside of events is a different job. Semuko schedules staff against bookings.

  • Gear and inventory

    Sortly Advanced

    $24/mo first-year rate, billed yearly

    $24/mo

    In Semuko: Equipment and kits

    When to keep Sortly

If you run a warehouse of rental stock with hundreds of items, a dedicated inventory app goes deeper than Semuko equipment kits.

Example stack, lowest listed pricesabout $135/mo

Semuko Studio Pro

$79.99/mo

or $71.99/mo billed yearly (10% off)

Up to 5 users and 5 brands, workflow automation included. Essentials ($39.95/mo) has no workflow automation; Agency Unlimited ($149.99/mo) has no team cap.

Card processing is your processor’s fee (Stripe, Square, PayPal and others), on top of any plan.

Pricing checked October 2026. Each price is the lowest one listed on that vendor’s public pricing page, at one seat unless noted, often with yearly billing. Prices change, so check before you decide. This is an example stack, not a promise of savings for every studio.

Honest fit

What Semuko does not do

  • It does not run the booth or the decks

Booth capture and sharing software, DJ software and video editing stay where they are. Semuko runs the business around them.
  • It is not a gallery

Photo and video delivery stays in your gallery or delivery tool. Semuko can share files in the client portal when you choose.
  • No seating charts or floor plans for guests

If guest layouts are central to what you sell, keep a planning tool for that part.
  • One main trade sets the types

Lead, event and project types follow your main trade. Rename or add types in settings if another service needs its own.

FAQ

Multi-service questions

Can one Semuko account run DJ, photo booth and video services together?

Yes. Pick your main trade when you sign up, then add the other services you offer. Semuko adds product types and sample services and packages for each one, so a DJ company that also runs booths starts with both.

Can a client book a package that mixes services?

Yes. A proposal or package can include DJ hours, a booth, uplighting with a color choice and a video add-on for the same event. The client signs one contract and pays on one payment plan.

How does Semuko stop me double booking gear across services?

Equipment and kits are checked against every event. A kit expands into its pieces, so a speaker or a printer booked on another event, or marked in maintenance, shows as a conflict. You can add buffers before and after events, and optionally check drive time between back-to-back jobs for gear and staff.

Can I charge travel by distance or zone?

Yes. Travel fees can use zones you draw on a map, distance bands or a per-mile or per-kilometer rate. The fee is worked out from the venue address and added to the proposal.

Does Semuko run my booth, play music or edit video?

No. Semuko runs the business side: inquiries, proposals, contracts, payments, scheduling, gear and packing. Your booth capture software, DJ software and editing tools stay as they are.

Do lead and event types change for each service?

Lead, event and project types come from your main trade. Extra services add their own product types, services and packages. You can rename or add types in settings at any time.
