Gallery platform plans for 2 TB
Prices checked October 27, 2026 on each company’s own pricing page (linked). US list prices; storage only. Request fees, taxes and discounts are not included. Gallery platforms include features beyond storage, so this compares storage cost only. Amazon S3 archive tiers (S3 Glacier Instant Retrieval, S3 Glacier Flexible Retrieval) and Cloudflare R2 Infrequent Access ($10 per TB-month, 30-day minimum) can lower the cost of rarely opened galleries further.

Common questions
Why would a photographer store originals in their own bucket?
Hosted gallery platforms bundle storage into a monthly plan. Object storage like Backblaze B2 or Cloudflare R2 is billed by the terabyte, so a large archive can cost less, and the files stay in an account you control if you ever change gallery software.
What is egress, and do I pay for downloads?
Egress is data leaving the bucket, for example when a client downloads full-resolution files. Cloudflare R2 and Wasabi list no egress fees. Backblaze B2 includes downloads up to three times your average monthly storage, then charges $0.01 per GB. Amazon S3 includes the first 100 GB each month across AWS.
What is Wasabi’s 90-day minimum?
Wasabi bills every file for at least 90 days. Deleting or replacing a file sooner still costs the full 90 days, and the monthly bill has a 1 TB minimum. That suits long-term archives better than files you churn.
Why is there no number for Amazon S3?
Amazon’s pricing page loads its price tables in a way we could not verify when we checked, so we show a link to their page instead of a number we cannot stand behind. Prices also vary by region.
Is this the whole cost of running galleries?
No. It is storage (and optional downloads) only, at US list prices. Request fees, taxes and discounts are not included, and gallery platforms include features beyond storage. Your provider’s invoice is the real number.
